Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to Democrat Attorney General Tom Miller declining to defend Governor Kim Reynolds' legal actions in court: 

"Tom Miller is failing to do the basic duties of his office. It's a shame that Iowa's top law enforcement officer is unwilling to defend Iowa's laws in court. Miller is just like Joe Biden - unwilling to put his liberal politics aside to do the job Iowans elected him to do.

"Iowans deserve an Attorney General who will fight for their values in court. That's what they have with Republican Brenna Bird."
