Joel Miller, Iowa Democrats' long-shot candidate for Secretary of State, claimed that requiring video surveillance of drop boxes must be changed.

Let's be clear: video surveillance is important and necessary. It provides voters with assurances that our elections are accessible and fair, making it easier to vote, but hard to cheat.

Under Paul Pate's leadership, Iowa was ranked in the top 3 of states for election administration.

"It's concerning to see that Iowa Democrats, like Joel Miller, have no respect for our election system and are willing to put the integrity of our elections into question so easily," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Video surveillance is absolutely necessary and, thanks to Secretary Pate, are required by law. That's how you successfully protect the integirty of our elections."
