Kaufmann: DNC Early State Discussions Lose Legitimacy
Yesterday, POLITICO reported that the White House made their preference "clear" when it came to delaying the DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee decision on the early state window for the 2024 presidential process, with one Biden advisor adding that, "Biden simply had been unable to devote much time to the matter."
The reporting also highlights that Biden is mulling over having his home state of Delaware join the early window. The rationale? "It’s just a two-hour Amtrak ride from Washington."
In response, Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann tweeted, "If true, this whole game with the calendar has been unveiled to be a total sham and undermines the legitimacy of DNC’s discussions. They should keep the calendar as is!"
