Naig Endorses Driscoll for Iowa Senate
Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced his endorsement today of Senator Dawn Driscoll, R-Williamsburg, for Iowa Senate District 46.
"As a cattle and row crop producer, Senator Driscoll understands the challenges and struggles that Iowa farmers face," said Naig. "It's because of that experience that I know she will continue to make family farms and our agriculture a community a top priority as State Senator. In the Iowa Senate, Dawn helped lead the charge to eliminate the state's death tax and will continue to reduce the tax burden on hard-working farm families and small businesses. She'll fight back against the Biden administration's efforts to crush Iowa's farm community with burdensome regulations and its constant overreach on our personal liberties and private property rights. Dawn will always do what is right to ensure that Iowa farmers are supported and have a seat at the table so they can continue to do what they do best... feed and fuel consumers across the country and around the globe.
Dawn Driscoll is a strong voice for Iowa farmers and a champion for our agriculture community which is why I enthusiastically support her campaign for Iowa Senate. I encourage the people of Iowa, Johnson, and Washington counties to vote for Dawn Driscoll this November."
"I am grateful for the endorsement and support of Secretary Naig," said Driscoll. "His leadership and partnership in defending Iowa agriculture and promote new opportunities has been crucial to our state and economy. It is humbling to have the support of such an important agricultural leader in our state and I look forward to working together to continue to support rural Iowa and our farmers.
Driscoll is a sixth-generation farmer and a mother of three. She was the past president of the Iowa County Farm Bureau, and has been an active volunteer in her community, including chair of the Ag in the Classroom program in schools and nursing homes, coaching volleyball and basketball, and being a religious education teacher, 4-H community leader, and a preschool board president.
Driscoll has a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Western Illinois University. Along with being a recruiter in the agriculture industry, she raises Angus cattle and farms with her family in rural Iowa County.
Iowa Senate District 46 includes Iowa County, Washington County, and parts of Johnson County.
