DES MOINES — Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement regarding Joe Biden’s first visit to Iowa since announcing his candidacy:

“Failed policies, loss of jobs, unsecured borders — Iowans can’t afford another Obama presidency, and that’s just what Joe Biden would be. Iowa’s unemployment rate was 3.6% at the end of the Biden-Obama administration. Under President Trump, it has now dropped by 1.2 points, hitting 2.4% last month. We will not move this country ahead by going backwards.”
