DES MOINES — Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann issued the following statement regarding the first congressional district race:

“After only five months in Congress, Abby Finkenauer has proven she’s more interested in serving big donors from California than Iowans.  Finkenauer has fully embraced her role as Nancy Pelosi’s sidekick — jetting off to Hollywood to attend swanky fundraisers and voting lock step with Pelosi on many issues that Iowans don’t support like open borders. Voters in the first district know Iowa is not California, and it’s time we have a representative that acts like it.”
