Ahead of Joe Biden's State of the Union address and Gov. Kim Reynolds' response, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley and Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann held a press call with reporters where they expressed their concerns with the Biden and Democrat agenda, and the excitement of seeing Gov. Reynolds deliver the official response. 

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley said: 

“It is puzzling that no Iowa Democrats have spoken out against Biden’s policies that are disastrous to Iowa families. There was a time we could think that the leaders of the Iowa Democratic Party were not in lock step with the far-Left national Democratic leaders, but that is clearly no longer the case.”

Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann said: 

"Finally, the entire nation is going to see what we have known all along, that Kim Reynolds is a tremendous leader. Gov. Reynolds will showcase what it means to lead with conservative values. It's not talking points or rhetoric, it's what she's actually done. The states are the last line of defense against an overreaching federal government and Kim Reynolds is going to outline what it means to fight for freedom, defend parents' rights, and keep Iowa moving."
